Limelite Consulting, is a dynamic, 100% BEE business owned by Desireé McKie.
BACKGROUND:
Desireé has been designing websites since 2000, after gaining her web design certification, and has a long list of valuable clients. She currently works with a team of professionals including a graphic designer, web developer, as well as a dynamic hosting company, offering great web design and development solutions for her clients.
In 2007, after completing an event management course, she started exploring organising events and workshops part-time (view past events here). At the end of 2013, she resigned from the University of Cape Town, having worked there full-time since 1994 in various administrative, support and IT positions.
From 2013 to 2020, Desireé held a full-time position as Comedy Club Manager at Cape Town Comedy Club at the V&A Waterfront, having run the club part-time from 2010 to 2013 at The River Club in Observatory.
Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, Desireé is now back at the University of Cape Town as a Learning Technology Consultant, supporting the university’s online learning environments.
Her business, Limelite Consulting however continues to flourish – thanks to her supportive team!
